LIU International Shaolin Institute of Thibodaux Grand Opening & Shaolin Legacy Show

We at Shaolin Institute of Thibodaux are very excited.  On February 1, 2010 - we will be moving into a brand new facility that will cater to the community of Thibodaux.  This has been a long time coming, as we are the only Institute of Shaolin Kung-Fu in the Tri-Parish.  We offer Traditional Shaolin Kung-Fu, Cardio San Shou Kickboxing, Extreme San Shou Kickboxing, Shuai Jiao Chinese Wrestling and Grappling, Chin Na Chinese Elite Self-defense for Law Enforcement and Military, Tai Chi and Qigong for the internal mind and body conscience practitioners.  Classes are set up to accommodate men, women and children of all skill levels, from beginner civilians to professional athletes.

Shaolin Institute of Thibodaux classes are taught by Shaolin Certified Chief Instructor Jeff Bordelon. Bordelon is an 11 year veteran of the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office as well as a Defensive Tactics Instructor for the Lafourche Parish Regional P.O.S.T. Academy.  Bordelon has taught members of the New Orleans Saints, Tulane University Football Team, and Provided Bodyguard service for Mayor Marc Morial of New Orleans and Actor Steven Segal.  Bordelon was also named assistant coach to Team USA at the 2008 Olympic Cup held in Hong Kong.

All members that sign up prior to March 1st will save over $600 on membership fees.  Shaolin Institute of Thibodaux offers a range of fun and challenging classes for men, women and children of all ages who aspire to lose weight and improve cardiovascular conditioning while strengthening and toning core muscles.  Our institute features an unparalleled curriculum of beginner to advanced techniques in striking, grappling and self defense.

There will be a grand opening celebration and Shaolin Legacy Show on Saturday, February 20th at 10:00 am.  The event will host a variety of Shaolin Festivities and feature guest from the famous Shaolin Temple, China. 

This will be a historic event as it symbols the birth of the Shaolin in the great city of Thibodaux.
