Courtney Bordelon: Teaching Assistant, Thibodaux, LA

Courtney is the Youth Teaching Assistant Instructor in Thibodaux. She has studied Kung-Fu for more than 10 years and is recognized as one of the top female San Shou Kickboxers in Houma. Courtney has competed in many local and international competitions, but has recently been credited for her silver medal victory at the 2008 Olympic Games Cup in Hong Kong, China. Courtney was one of the youngest San Shou Kickboxing competitors on the circuit. She is only 15, but she is strong.

Trent Browne: Teaching Assistant, New Orleans LA

He is one of the original students in the New Orleans school.  After much worldwide traveling and teaching abroad in many countries, he came back to New Orleans because he had a great passion for the city.  He wanted to help the city and the kids in the city.  He rejoined the Shaolin Institute.  He is a hard working student and always focuses on learning.  He loves to work with kids and he is great with them.  All of the kids enjoy his classes very much.  He is certainly is one of the best teaching assistants we ever had. 

Dustin Carbajal: Teaching Assistant, Thibodaux, LA

Dustin is a Teaching Assistant Instructor in Thibodaux. He has studied Kung-Fu for more than 8 years and San Shou for 4 years. He is a Computer Draftsman by trade and a Kung-Fu instructor by night. He is an amateur San Shou Kickboxing competitor with several wins to his favor. He has competed in many local and national tournaments and has won the respect from many of his opponents. Dustin has recently been ranked as a silver medalist at the 2008 Olympic Games Cup in Hong Kong, China where he fought in the 65kg division.

Renard Edwards: Teaching Assistant, New Orleans LA

Renard first came to help his son attend Kungfu class, but soon he fell in love with Kungfu.  He trained everyday and lost over 30 lb in weeks, and he became one of the most improved Shaolin Kungfu students in any Shaolin family schools in US and China. He not only strives the utmost for his best to learn the arts of Kungfu self-defense and but help others to achieve the same goal to improve their health and well-being and to promote the great spirit of Shaolin. He is compassionate, confident and has learned a lot in inner strength and peace.

Leon Ngo: Teaching Assistant/Shaolin Warrior Fighter, Mobile AL

Leon Ngo has been training in Kungfu at the LIU International Shaolin Institute for over 7 years.  He is one of the most committed and devoted martial arts students in America. He has been selected as one the best performers in school. Among these performances, he has appeared at the national Cable Conference in New Orleans, LA, and the Masters demonstration at various international championships, winning golds and silvers in several youth amateur competitions. He is one of the best and most energetic Sanshou Kickboxing youth stars in the southeastern U.S. and certainly one of the best martial artists and Chinese kick-boxing youths in the U.S.

Leon Ngo played a major role in our big Shaolin Legacy show “Journey to the East” during the Winter of 2006. He is a devoted Shaolin apprentice and an assistant instructor at the LIU International Shi Deru Shaolin Institute. He has been awarded with his first Shaolin Golden Black Sash.
