In celebration of World Tai Chi Day, the Shaolin Institute will be hosting a Zen mediation event, promoting peace and healing on Saturday, April 30th at 9 a.m. Shaolin Institute instructors will lead everyone in Zen meditation at the Shaolin Institute at the Atlanta Campus (4350 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Norcross, GA). Grandmaster Shi DeRu encourages all Shaolin Institute students and first-time participants to come together to partake in the ancient Chinese healing art forms of Tai Chi and Tai Gong.
People of all ages, fitness levels and abilities are welcome to enjoy the great energy of Qi Gong and Tai Gong breathing mind-body exercises and to learn basic Tai Chi movements under Grandmaster Shi DeRu and his highly trained instructors. We want help people gain the ability to be able to let things go and observe the world, ourselves, surroundings and our own thoughts without judgment; to have a better understanding of our relationship with nature and ourselves and become more compassionate about happiness to have positive chi peace, harmony and healing.
These ancient art forms not only provide significant health benefits, but fill the mind, body, and spirit with positive Qi. Tai Gong, which is a combination of Tai Chi and Qi Gong, consists of simple, slow, fluid movements that, along with freely conscious deep breathing, create a calmness of mind that communicates and frees the body, mind, and spirit.
Shaolin Institute has hosted numerous events throughout Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, and Florida and will continue to spread positive Chi throughout the south by hosting more Zen meditation events.
